Some see the junk heaps as literal garbage; to some they appear ominous, riddled with danger and toxic; but to the scavenger, Eli, the are the main source of his survival and where he gets his collections. The junkyard is part of Eli's chapter in upcoming Dark Interval: Part 2. Essentially like the scrapyard in retail Black Mesa East but much larger and less 'civilised'.
